Playing With Clay

Embracing play is at the heart of the process, with a genuine human touch in every creation. Each piece is handcrafted, never mass-produced, and takes its own unique journey from concept to completion—no two are ever alike, making every design truly unmatchable.

Inspired by the playful freedom of shaping soft, pliable clay, these pieces are crafted with textures and forms designed to be touched and details meant to be felt. They hold the marks, textures, and stories of the hands that formed them.

What is Sliver Clay?

Silver clay is a fine, eco-friendly material made from recycled pure silver powder mixed with a natural binder. When shaped and fired, the binder burns away—leaving behind solid, 99.9% pure silver.

That means your jewellery is just as precious (and even purer) than traditional 925 sterling silver, which contains 92.5% silver mixed with other metals. Every Unmatchable piece starts as soft, sculptable clay and transforms into solid silver—capturing the artist’s touch in every detail.

Harmony Without Mirroring

Symmetry is nice, but asymmetry is where the conversation begins.

At Unmatchable, each pair is a study in balance—two pieces connected through design, yet distinct in form. Handcrafted with intention, they offer a refined playfulness that elevates any look with quiet confidence.

Design Process

  • Concept Design

Inspiration can strike anywhere—a fleeting shape, a texture, a memory. I start by quickly sketching ideas, capturing the essence of a design before it slips away.

  • Playing with Clay

It all begins with a familiar, childhood favourite: clay. Shaping by hand allows me to explore organic forms and refine the silhouette before committing to silver. This playful stage keeps the design process fluid and creative.

  • Making an Impression

Once I find a shape that feels special, I create a mould. This step preserves the piece’s unique character so it can be transformed into silver while retaining its original charm.

  • Sculpting in Silver Clay

Silver clay is made from fine silver particles mixed with an organic binder and water. Each piece is hand-carved and sanded after it is air-dried.

  • Firing

When fired, the binder burns away and fuses the silver particles into 99.9% pure silver, transforming a delicate clay form into a lasting piece of jewellery.

  • The Finish

Finally, every surface is polished, refined, and detailed by hand. It’s in this stage that the piece truly comes alive, ready to be worn and treasured.

As a small business, the journey of making jewelry does not stop here. There’s so much more involved. Follow my journey as I learn & grow with UNMATCHABLE.
